A qualified Mechanical Engineer. The majority of my work has been with the British Royal Navy carrying out fault rectification, inspection (electrical and mechanical) and testing of equipment on board ships and small boats. As a Marine Engineering technician where I spent 4 Years, I had experience of working with limited resources and narrow deadlines to ensure full capability and success on an operational platform. I have also spent 4 years prior to joining the navy as CAD draughtsman, I have had a significant amount of work experience at some leading engineering companies based in South Africa, including Avenge (E+PC) and CAE Solutions. This experience has given me extensive working knowledge of programs such as Auto CAD, as well as of 3D modeling programs such as Creo and Inventor. These jobs have engendered in me a strong work ethic and the principles of hard work and efficiency and has given me significant expose to the high standards, attention to detail and strict deadlines that are required within the engineering industry.
