• Conduct Equipment root cause analysis in order to develop engineering solutions to prevent repetitive failures • Evaluate daily equipment availability and utilization and compile performance reports • Manage the earthmoving equipment condition monitoring – oil lab • Optimize economic component change out and machine replacement • Lead equipment damage investigations and conclude with recommendations • Compile failure cause analysis / breakdown analysis reports • Compile and manage life of mine forecasting tool and recommend equipment replacement and component interventions • Plan and execute major repairs/overhauls of machinery in conjunction with foreman, suppliers and contractors in order to minimize downtime. This includes forecasting, planning, parts sourcing, and managing rebuild team • Manage the Tyre maintenance contractor and implement, monitor and maintain the tyre management system • Complete Solidworks designs as requested • Compile month end reports demonstrating equipment performance in terms of targets achieved and major causes of downtime. • Implement, maintain HME systems (Oil view, Vision Link, Tyre Cop, Navman, etc.) • Ensure compliance to all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures • HME, LDV and Auxiliary fleet rebuild planning, replacement planning, and budgeting for 2020

• Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates for UG development projects e.g. Dewatering systems, ventilation fans, escape way installation etc. • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing status and recommend actions. • Ensure document control process is established and compile a depositary for all drawings, designs, technical information, test certificates, OEM manuals for the underground development project. • Ensure contractor TMM’s and LDV’s are site ready and operational and maintenance checks are carried out as required. • Manage the contractors and execution of site projects and UG infrastructure • Manage the engineering aspects of the main underground development contractor • Identify and implement continuous improvements • Identify maintenance improvements in all areas of responsibility. • Ensure maintenance systems are established for UG infrastructure and TMM’s • • Adjudicate tenders and oversee site projects ensuring compliance to engineering and safety standards Major Projects undertaken: - Production boreholes for Underground dewatering - Underground batch plant tender for CRF backfill - UG dewatering reticulation - Contractor camp construction/upgrade - Ventilation raise project with Howden fan manufacturing - Underground dewatering reticulation and pit to surface dewatering
