Pallet Controller

We're looking for a PALLET CONTROLLER.

To perform the day-to-day transfers of pallets to the relevant departments as well we the safeguarding of pallets according to laid down Company procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the safeguarding of pallets on site
• Ensure that no pallets are outside demarcated areas (pallet cages)
• Ensure pallet cages are locked at all times, safeguard key
• Issue pallets based on pallet request form
• Filing of all pallet request froms per division
• Physical verification of pallets returned by a Transporter in the presence of the truck driver
• Fill in the amount of pallets received back from the driver as well as all information required on the form.  Ensure that driver signs the form.
• Ensure offloading of all pallets
• Review and recon night shift pallets received the next morning
• Ensure all pallets received back from the returns department/transporters and are placed back into the pallet cage
• Daily stock count of pallet cages
• Maintain pallet float on site
• Liaise with Distribution for the truck needed to return the pallets
• Montlhly stock take
• Submit daily recons
• Do housekeeping and keep working area clean and tidy
• Reconcile daily movements of pallets
• Request a return purchase order from finance for the return of pallets
• Adhere to Company policies, processes and procedures regarding the pallet process and in general
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures

• The ideal candidate will at least have Grade 12
• At least 3 (three) years' experience in the FMCG working environment
