Position : Financial Manager - Windhoek

We are recruiting a Financial Manager.

 Functions

  • Do accounting using financial reporting systems.  Pastel system is currently utilized.
  • Develop and analyse information to assess the current and  future financial status of the company
  • Establish procedures for custody and control assets
  • Evaluate data pertaining to costs in order to plan budgets
  • Cash flow analysis and planning
  • Control the payment of wages/ salaries and oversee wage staff.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of wage clerks, debtor/ creditors clerks, logistics clerks and assigned workers in branches, offices or department
  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations and boards of directors.
  • Manage working capital of the company
  • Establish and maintain relationships with individual and business customers and provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter
  • Establish and maintain relationships with company bankers.
  • Financial input for tenders.
Required profile for job ad : Financial Manager - Windhoek

​​​​​Education and Experience

  • Completed applicable Bachelor’s Degree
  • Completed articles or SAIPA membership.
  • More than 5 years post qualification experience is a necessity.
  • Experience of the security or service industries
  • Major focus of previous positions should have been accounting and reporting

Knowledge Requirements  

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and the analysis and reporting of financial data are essential.
  • Knowledge of Pastel, Pay Roll Systems i.e. VIP and MS Office
  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance systems
  • Knowledge of tenders and tender procedures
  • Knowledge of Namibian accounting practices is essential
  • Broad understand of business is essential
  • Fluency in English is essential (speak, write, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Namibian Taxes is essential

Other Requirements

  • Must be extremely hands on
  • Have the ability to operate on tactical/ operational and strategic levels
  • Person will be stationed in Windhoek.  Travelling to various regions in Namibia may be required – drivers licence.
