Position : Assistant Manager / Manager / Snr Manager | Audit & Assurance

We are offering successful candidates the opportunity to provide audit, accounting and related advisory services to our clients in in our various industry sectors. You will act as a lead member of an engagement team and be responsible for performing all aspects of the engagement, including planning, fieldwork, research on audit and accounting issues, reviewing financial statements and disclosures, coordinating and clearing all levels of review. Responsibilities will vary depending upon the scope and nature of the engagement.

This position will suit a person who is looking for the big four experience to gain greater exposure as well as the flexibility of a short-term opportunity.

Job Description

  • Provide financial management support
  • Accounting and problem resolution
  • Project management
  • Management of financial processes, policies and procedures
  • Talent & performance Management of the team (including performance counselling and feedback)
  • Office Supervision and overall audit management
  • Risk Management
  • Budgets – planning, monitoring and execution
  • Firm wide involvement to ensure maximizing human capital capacity
  • Build and maintain extensive client interaction and relationships with the view to develop an ongoing client base in all sectors.
  • Responsible for management and control of administration in relation to client portfolio, including management of project budgets, costs billing and collections from clients
  • Be an active member of the winning business team and develop an ongoing work funnel for the service lines, achieve the winning business and marketing targets set; Identify winning business opportunities at clients/potential clients.
  • General management responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • CA (Nam) or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of Deloitte audit methodology and Engagement Management System (EMS) would be an added advantage
  • Strong financial accounting/management experience
  • Excellent business knowledge.
  • Ability to “see the bigger picture” – see how Deloitte and the Business Unit service lines can be used by the client
  • Identify opportunities for business
  • Well-developed computer user skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge with current practice and legislation
  • Experience in other services would be an added advantage
  • Running audits, experience with group audits would be a distinct advantage
